you're thinking of a vegetable diet to lose weight then this will be the
most important article you'll ever read.
Here's why.
I'm going to share with you exactly why a vegetarian diet is
not your best choice.
This is based not only on my
own personal experience, but that of many others as well.
Ok.
So let's begin.
First and foremost, let me
make one thing absolutely clear... I have no problem with vegetarians.
I
am a true believer in "to each her own".
Meaning, if
if works for you, then to heck with what others think!
But
the truth is... it never worked for me.
I believe
that there are three major reason why.
1.
I believe that a diet consisting of lean meats provides far
superior protein content.
Protein is an absolute
miracle.
Science. Real life studies.
And much other research has shown that animal protein absolutely shreds
fat.
It burns hotter and faster in your system than
carbs.
Basically, it revs up your metabolic function.
2.
Those who try a vegetable diet to lose weight have a hard
time getting adequate nutrition.
Now. Hear
me out...
Your typical person trying to lose
weight is not a vegetarian nor has ever been one.
They
simply do not realize that the healthiest vegetarians are masters of
eating. Masters! They know how to eat a wide variety of the right
vegetables to maintain adequate nutrition.
I'm
talking about refrigerators full of every shade of green and orange and
red that you can imagine! They need to eat like this because
vegetables are not as nutrient dense as meat. At least most types
are not.
If you
are trying to lose weight and have never eaten like this... trust me... it will seem a bit overwhelming at first.
I'm not saying you can't do it. But it stops most dead in their tracks.
3.
Calorie density.
The bottom line is... it
is damn hard to eat an adequate supply of calories when you're eating
nothing but vegetables.
Did you know that calorie
insufficiency actually leads to more fat storage?
People
don't realize this, which is why there are so many overweight
vegetarians running around who can't figure out why their fat won't
budge!
Ok. So those are three reason why I feel that
a vegetable diet to lose weight is not your best option.
I
suspect that I just may enrage a few vegetarians who read this.
But such is life.
