Meals Alternative
Skipping
meals.
It can cause amazing weight loss.
And
the results happen so fast. I know that in just seven days
I've lost ten pounds by skipping meals. It was
easy. It's only common sense that if you "starve" yourself,
in most cases you'll shed some weight.
But is it the
best way to slim down.
That's the surprising thing.
It's
true that some people eat way too much. And for them limiting
the calorie consumption is a must. But it can be a little
"tricky".
What I mean is that there is a fine line
between eating too much and not getting enough.
If
you eliminate too much food from your diet then you tend to increase
the difficulty of losing weight. Your body experiences a bit
of a shock. It begins to go into "survival" mode.
Basically you begin to store more of the food you eat in order to
compensate for lack.
That's why it is tricky.
You
really got to be careful or you can make losing weight miserable.
A
much better way than skipping meals is simply to limit portion size.
Optimally
you should be eating six times throughout the day. Most
people only eat three to four times. So when they skip meals
it takes them down to about two. Nothing will destroy your
metabolism faster than eating only twice per day!
That's
why limiting portion size is a much better technique. I even
recommend that if you're eating just three meals per day you up it to
six.
Just make your meals smaller.
In
most cases this "snacking" throughout the day will have a dramatic
effect on your weight.
Once again, only limit your
calorie consumption if you're positive you are eating too much.
The
funny thing is that most people are NOT overweight because they eat too
much. They could actually be eating more food. From
what I've seen, most people simply eat the wrong foods at the wrong
times.
They foolishly begin cutting out meals and
get
themselves into a whole world of trouble.
These are
typically the dieters out there.
The people who are
in a constant, never-ending cycle of losing weight only to gain it all
back.
Chances are that this is you.
Once
again, most people are not fat because they eat too much.
They simple eat the wrong foods at the wrong times.
So
lets say your up in the air. You don't know if you're eating
too much. The best place to begin is to spread your meals
out. Make sure your eating six meals per day and not skipping
meals.
I'd try that for a week.
Just
eat small meals six times per day. Don't worry about counting
calories or anything like that.
You'll probably find
that you lose a few pounds.
This is so
simple. Most people are not consistent though. They
get busy and find that they are skipping meals again. So it
takes consistency.
From there, if you are still not
losing weight, I'd begin to consume smaller portion size.
Still
keep eating six times though.
Just eat
smaller portion size for these meals.
