dollars. Guess what, it's more than just
a small financial problem. According to a recent study overweight
related medical expenses accounted for 9.1 percent of total U.S.
medical expenditures in 1998. Approximately half of these costs were
paid by Medicaid and Medicare (Tax payer dollars).
I wonder what it is costing our
nation nearly 10 years later in 2007...
The risks of obesity extend far beyond anything
imagined.
Obesity has
prematurely ended the lives of hundreds
of thousands of individuals. Not discounting the broken families and
heart broken loved ones.
