When you look at the photo of big ol' Sam above, I'm sure you're wondering just what the heck he has to do with losing weight?

... go to a whole foods store, or any store that carries "grass fed" beef.  Grab a package of it and then grab a package of the "standard" beef (it's usually right there, clearly labeled - side by side.).  

Flip them over and compare the food nutrition labels.

I realize this is NOT an exact science, but what you'll discover is that generally speaking, the nutrient content (zinc, magnesium, omega 3's) are much higher in the grass fed.

The startling thing to me is that most people have no clue about this.  They simply view "food as food".  Or an "apple as an apple".  If it looks the same... well, then it must be the same.

You see.  In an effort to get thin most people simply "watch what they eat."

... Simply "watching" what you eat by changing a few things here and there will almost NEVER give you the results you want.   This is especially true if you want to revitalize your body in the process of getting thin.

Let's look again at Sam.

Sam eats nothing but grass.  Let's say he's done this for the past year.  Sam's cousins eat nothing but grain (an unnatural diet).  Let's say they have been doing this for the past year as well.

When we take out our microscope and examine both, we see that the cellular structure of the meat is altered in the cousins.

Now.  Examine your diet.
  • Have you been eating processed food for the past several years?

Remember, you are what you eat.  The meat of that chicken has become contaminated by its food source.

If you feed that chicken to your family, over time they too will become contaminated and wake up wondering why they seem to get sick all the time.  Why they struggle with weight?  Why they have abnormal fat?

It's just one big cycle.

In the mean time we have the medical industry running around pumping prescriptions wondering why everyone has high cholesterol and is obese!

It's like the person who eats fast food every day, exercises their brains out and wonders why they can't lose weight!  The answer is in the food!  When I learned this, it became pretty simple to burn away fat.

My answer is always the same.  One word.  DIET!

It all begins with the food you're putting in your mouth.  Everything works off of that and it only make sense that it should.  Your excess stomach fat is a symptom that is produced from the inside of your body.

Your body is made out of the food you're putting in it.

We impact it by changing the food.

So, if you are desperate to lose weight.  If you want that weight loss safe in such a way that progressively gets your body healthy and rejuvenated.  Then you begin with eating food that is in its most natural form.

Yes, this means grass fed beef.  

But it also means, fruits and vegetables that are not grown with pesticides and other chemicals.  And whole grains that actually work for getting thin.

I realize this doesn't happen overnight.

But simply make gradual changes knowing that every time you do it is making a positive impact on your body, mind and spirit.  Over time you'll wake up to realize that you're getting the lean, healthy body you always wanted.

It's a refreshing thought!
