You
Should "Low
Glycemic Diet" And Watch Fat Vanish!
If
you need to lose weight then pay close attention cause this is a "game
changer".
Perhaps you are familiar with the benefits
of a low glycemic diet.
Probably not though.
I
have discussed it extensively in past articles that you should have
read... but while most people may have heard the concept, I've found
the majority have no idea exactly what it is.
Let me
explain.
The glycemic index is a measure of how much
food makes your blood sugar rise.
An apple has its
own glycemic index.
Bread has its own glycemic index.
Anyway,
you get the idea.
The real benefit to a low glycemic
diet lies
in understanding just why your blood sugar level is so important.
Seriously
my overweight friend...
Sit up and listen carefully
to this cause it will change you!
Science has shown
beyond a shadow of doubt that food that makes your blood sugar level
rise rapidly (high glycemic foods) get stored as fat far easier than
low glycemic foods.
For example...
Eating
white bread is going to make you fatter than eating a chicken
breast. The reason is that white bread is high glycemic and
chicken is much much lower.
So that's the gist of it.
It
comes as no surprise than that those who feast primarily on a low
glycemic diet tend to be "thinner". Not always.
But in most cases.
So here's a mind
numbing flash of the obvious...
If you have lots of
excess fat you want to lose, then why not just copy what these
thin people do?
Are you beginning to see the light
here?
And stop your worrying... it's actually very
simple.
In
fact, chances are that simply removing a few items from your diet will
give it a much lower glycemic index.
And that is
good. Real good!
So, let me point out a
few of the most common and deceptive culprits here because I've found
that it's not the obvious things like candy and soda that give people
the problems, it's the "hidden" foods that do the damage.
Things like...
1.
Salad dressing (Most contains high fructose corn syrup)
2.
Potatoes (regular russet)
3.
White rice
So, those are a few of the more
common foods that can be a bit tricky. They are high glycemic
and stored as fat more easily by the body.
The point
is
simple...
If you can eliminate some of these
foods...
or simply make a few changes, then your diet can easily become a low
glycemic diet and the results will soon follow.
For
example...
Replace the white bread with whole grain
bread.
Switch the russet potatoes with sweet potatoes.
Give
up the instant white rice and eat brown rice.
This is so
simple to do and the weight loss that results can be absolutely
phenomenal.
Now I realize that low and behold, most
will not do this. They will simply prance off to the next
website to pacify their over-loaded minds.
But
you my friend... you are reading this cause you are different than
those lazy souls.
