Hypothalamus
and Weight Loss
Just what do
the hypothalamus and weight loss have in common?
The hypothalamus, also known as the master gland,
is responsible for controlling homeostasis in the body. In less
scientific terms, it is responsible for maintaining a stable internal
environment. Things like body temperature, hunger, thirst and body metabolism
are all thought to be controlled by the hypothalamus.
It's logical to think that if the hypothalamus is
not functioning
properly, you will struggle with your weight.
There is no doubt that artificial sweeteners, trans
fats, food
additives and growth hormones that are used in the food you consume all
have a major impact on the hypothalamus. These chemicals, when consumed
have an extremely
negative impact on all body processes. If your body isn't functioning
properly, you will struggle with your weight!
So what's the solution?
Many people have been caught up in the notion that
if they somehow fix
the hypothalamus gland they can go out and consume anything they want
and not get fat. It's these people who sadly will never experience long
lasting weight loss results.
Weight loss begins with correct diet.
The only way to ensure long lasting weight loss is to change what you
eat.
