There is a best time:
Most people choose to work out mid-day or in the evening. However, this is not the optimal time for burning fat.  Why?  It's really quite simple...you are burning off the food you have eaten throughout the day!  On the other hand, if you workout in the morning before you eat anything your body will be forced to dip into your fat reserves.

There is an order to things:
Don't allow your workouts to be one sided.  The optimal fat burning workouts contain two types of exercise...strength training and endurance.  

Why?  Because your body burns two sources of energy...a form of carbohydrate called glycogen and fat.  However, there is a catch... Glycogen is easier to burn so your body chooses it first and leaves the fat for last.  Which is why it is tough to burn a lot of fat if you only jog!

Your goal should be to burn the glycogen off as fast as you can so you can get to the fat reserves.  The best way to do this is with a two-sided workout.  For example, begin each workout session with about 20 minutes of weight training followed by 10-15 minutes of Stairmaster.  Weight training is a type of exercise that will quickly use up your glycogen supplies so that you will burn the optimal amount of fat by the time you hit the Stairmaster.

You can burn a lot of fat simply by combining these 2 simple healthy fitness tips.  If you're going to exercise, you might as well do it the smart way!
