Most people have it all
backwards...They tend to eat almost nothing for breakfast and way too
much for dinner. Unfortunately eating like this will add the
pounds to your waistline!
Why does dinner tend to be
the biggest weight culprit?
Because of what you eat
and how you eat it.
Think about it...You work all
day long and now all you want to do is relax. This usually
means pigging out! The meals tend to consist of quick energy
foods like refined pasta and other foods that have high sugar content
that your body tries to use immediately for energy.
The
problem is that your body can't use them because after you eat dinner
you typically head off to the couch, which requires almost no energy.
As a result, by the time
you go to bed much of that giant dinner is still sitting in your
system...
Your metabolism
slows down significantly when you sleep causing much of that food
sitting in your system to be converted to fat!
How
can you avoid this?
Remember these 3 dinner
tips...
Never stuff yourself before
you go to bed. This is eating beyond the point you are full
Never
go to sleep on a full
stomach. After you eat your last meal of the day go for a
walk or do something else that uses energy.
Avoid
eating refined/processed foods for dinner. Refined food is
usually loaded with sugar
which your body will convert to fat when you sleep. Instead,
consume organic unprocessed whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
