Are
These Subconscious Eating Addictions Keeping You Fat?
Get this...
Most eating has nothing to do with being hungry!
It's
subconsciously programmed into you. "Below the surface".
And the fact that you're not aware of these eating addictions can
actually be keeping you fat.
Let me explain...
I just posted a comment to a very well
known website.
The author had
written an article about the "reasons we eat".
There's a bunch of reasons.
Let's see here, we...
-
Eat for Love
- Eat for Fulfillment
-
Eat for Revenge
- Eat for Relief
-
Eat for Fun - Seriously. That's a biggie for me!
Anyway,
that's just a small list he gave. There are many more.
Here's
the point...
Every time you eat there is a reason
you're doing it.
The STRANGE and SHOCKING
thing is that most of the time the reason probably has NOTHING to do with being hungry! (Read that again)
It's caused by a subconscious eating addiction that is triggered by certain factors.
Here's an example. How many times have you grabbed something to eat just because of
the clock? It turned 12:00 and you new it was time for lunch.
It's psychological. Did you know that when the
clock strikes "lunch time" many people are actually subconsciously
programmed to begin feeling hungrily?! That is a FACT proven by research!
Their
mind triggers the "hunger" feeling by releasing certain hormones!
Your mind works
in far stranger ways than you realize.
I'm telling
you, much of you're eating has little to do with physical hunger.
Many people are what I like to call "all messed-up" when it
comes to eating.
They eat for reasons other than hunger and it's keeping them fat. They have "below the surface" eating addictions.
Here's another example...
FOOD CRAVINGS. And I believe this is true for a
major number of people. At least from what I've seen in
clients and other people I've helped to break free from the bonds of
obesity. (Once again, I'm a super hero. I'm the best - and my
ego knows no bounds!)
Much of the
craving actually exists on a subconscious level. "Below the
surface" of your awareness.
In short, if
you always eat ice cream when you are super duper sad, then after a
while every time you're super duper sad you begin to crave ice
cream! You've created a subconscious addiction to it when
you're in that state.
Or how about when your husband
gets home late?
You get all huffy and
puffy and "worked-up" and you grab some chips and sit in silence just
fuming away (Guys, this goes both ways). Watch yourself...
you're about to create a bond with chips that gets aroused every time
you get angry.
Anyway... I realize that this concept
of "reasons we eat" may be new to most. Strange to others.
And just plain "creepy" to a few. But when you
visit this website you get the whole scoop!
More than anything else, I just wanted you to be aware of it.
Just
something to think about,
-Jason
P.S.
So how can knowing about these eating addictions help you lose weight?
In
many ways. Here's one. Most people have been
programmed to eat "3 square" meals a day. Breakfast before 9.
Lunch around noon. And dinner about 6. For no reason other than the clock.
They are simply programmed into a patter that is NOT ideal
for losing weight fast.
It would do you good to
re-program that eating into every 2 hours or so from the time you eat
breakfast to the time you go to bed. That's a pattern that
better serves you. (The actual reprogramming process is a
discussion for a different article - but you can check out this food
cravings video for a dynamite tip.)
