Dumbell Exercises Vs. Treadmill For Burning Fat

Hey Guys,

If you've never done dumbell exercises and you need to burn fat, then this will be a seriously important article for you.

Here's why.  I'm going to explain why dumbells will beat your treadmill hands down when it comes to getting results.

A shocking statement, but stick with me and you will be "enlightened".

Truth is, given a 20 minute span at lunch time, most people would opt for the treadmill.  I mean, nothing works up a good sweat like running for twenty minutes.  Right?

It's only common sense then...

The treadmill should win out.

But have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you're not getting the results you want using that old-school thing?  After all this time sweating, why oh why do your still have all that fat?

Here's why you may want to re-think this whole exercise thing.

Dumbell exercises contain the secret to serious fat loss - they develop muscle.

And this is not just my opinion.

Study after study show that muscle burns fat.  Loads of it.

Bottom line...

Those who have more muscle, burn the calories they eat far faster.

I won't get into the science of all of this, but the gist of it is that muscle is "living" tissue.  It must eat to survive.  And it feasts on fat!

It's one of the primary reasons why those fitness models don't have flab.

I can tell you from experience... as an absolute fact... those who have a greater muscle density burn fat faster... period!

Listen.  The treadmill ain't gonna help you with this.

Running and jogging are "cardio" workouts.  Important yes.  But they will never take the place of performing muscle development exercise.  Ever.

I would also be willing to wager money on the fact that adding some type of dumbell workout to your routine each day will dramatically improve your results.  I've seen it.

Dumbell exercises are an excellent fat loss weapon.  They are simple.  Versatile.  Cheap.  And you can pretty much work every muscle group with them.

Best part is... the results show up fast.  Even if you have never lifted a weight in your life.

Your skeptical still aren't you?

Ok.  Fair enough.  Let's put it to the test.

For all of you looking to get far better results from your exercise just do what I say for the next two weeks.  Put the treadmill on hold.

Instead.  Here's what you do.

Get yourself a set of dumbels.  A few different weight sizes would be great.

Take those dumbels and use them at least 5 days a week, for the next 2 weeks.  Just a "trial" run so you can see with your own eyes that this works.

Do a combo of about 7 different exercises each of the five days.  Just follow the same ones each day.

I call this dumbel circuit training.

You could do something as follows...

- Squats (Just hold the dumbells on your shoulders)
- Lunges
- Step-ups  (Hold the dumbells at your side)
- Bench press (Just lie on the floor)
- Shoulder press
- Tricep Extension

Do it in a circuit.  This means jump from one exercise to the next.  One right after the other.  I recommend going at least 3 times through the circuit, performing each exercise for 12 reps.

Just as a side note:  Use dumbells that are a challenging weight, but not so heavy that you can't do the 12 reps (Yes, of course, consult your doctor before you try this.  Don't come crying to me if you hurt yourself).  Lord knows your flabby little treadmill body will probably be crying.

Anyway.  That's it.

You want better results?  You want a guaranteed way to lose far more fat?  Then follow what I said.

I'm telling you based on years of experience, dumbell exercises used in a circuit like this will beat your treadmill every single time.
