People who promote losing weight on dairy products
have seemed to
forget that the intent of a cow's milk is to turn a little calf into a
400 pound cow.
More dairy products are
consumed in America
than any other place on the face of the earth. The nation has among the
highest
obesity rates in the world!
You've seen the ads?
The ones
that claim eating three servings of dairy a day can help you
lose weight. These ads are based on a scientific study funded by dairy
organizations...The study was small scale and the results suggested
that eating a low
calorie diet combined with three servings of dairy
a day may help promote weight loss. The results were far
from conclusive. Maybe it was the low calorie diet that had
the positive affect?
A new study involving more than
12,000 children found that those
drinking more than three servings of dairy daily were about 35% more
likely to become overweight than those who drank one to two servings
daily. I wonder what the results would have indicated if
those who drank one
to two servings of dairy a day, drank water instead...Perhaps the gap
would have been far greater?
The problem with dairy
weight loss isn't just dairy. It
is also the incredibly high chemical content that dairy contains.
In an effort to produce more milk, cows are loaded down with hormones
and antibiotics.
Guess where these chemicals wind up? In
the milk that you drank today...
Advocates of dairy weight loss will also point to
the increased calcium
advantage of eating dairy products. They will
never tell you that studies have shown that eating dairy products and
other animal proteins actually remove calcium from the body. We consume more dairy than any other place on
earth and we have among the highest rates of osteoporosis on earth.
Other countries that consume almost no dairy have next to no instance
of osteoporosis...
Where do grown
cows get their calcium? Grown cows don't drink milk! They eat
grass and other vegetation.
If you are looking to lose weight, dairy weight loss is not the answer.
You can experience incredibly fast, healthy
weight loss through other
means.
