If you haven't I
strongly recommend it. Reason is simple... it's about getting
more done is far less time. It's about actually living life
instead of living to work.
Anyway, great book.
So
why do I bring it up?
Simple, my good buddy Tim Ferris (The Author of that book) has
a blog. He writes a lot about losing weight and food in
general. Now the other day I stopped by and read and older
post on that blog. The title was "The Science of
Fat-Loss: Why a Calorie Isn’t Always a Calorie."
While
the commenting on that blog post was closed for some reason, if I would
have written one it would have been the following.
Listen.
Hark unto me. If you are at all concerned about
losing weight and keeping it off, then read every word here, cause I'm
going to absolutely dethrone the worn out dieting idea of "counting
calories for weight loss." I then invite you to go read his post,
which I'll give you in a moment, because he beats-up on that idea as
well.
Here we go...
Hey
Tim,
Great post my friend.
Couldn't
agree more. All
calories are not created equal. It's kinda like the whole
argument
that eating fatty foods makes you fat. What a JOKE!
This
"worn-out" info sprouting from the "dieting era" is, in my opinion just
keeping people from experiencing optimal health. Take Eskimos
for
example...
... their diets are so packed with fat,
saturated
fat, cholesterol (at least those still eating their native diets) that
it'd make most doctors in this country "cringe".
I
can imagine
it now... he'd walk into the doctors office and the doctor would
immediately have him on a low fat diet and messing up his
health.
(Honestly, you'd probably never find the Eskimo in the doctors office
because he's too damn healthy!)
Anyway... here's my
point,
Eskimos have super high fat diets and VERY VERY low instance of heart
disease! Go figure... perhaps eating fat is NOT the cause of
heart
disease after all. As you know... there is much evidence to
support
the fact that it's not the fat cholesterol making hearts explode - it's
the refined trash lining our super market shelves!
It
just goes
right back to the whole "all calories are not created equal"
idea. The
bottom line... take two people, put on a 1500 calorie a day "fast food"
and refined calorie diet and the other on a 1500 calorie 100% natural
diet and you'll find something that down-right defies what these
brainwashed "CALORIE IN CALORIE OUT" dieting experts are
teaching.
You'll find that the person on the natural diet is healthy and fit
while the other is wasting away from the inside out and getting fat as
hell in the process! Now these people were eating the SAME
AMOUNT OF CALORIES!!
Imagine
that! All calories are not created equal. Which is why counting calories for weight loss can be a joke.
Anyway.
Just want to thank you for a great and refreshing post here.
You got a gift. Thanks for your kind words too.
It's
my pleasure to comment on your blog.
For
those who need to lose weight fast. Who want quick, healthy
dynamite
results. You'd do good to listen to Tim and adopt the truth
that all
calories are NOT created equal. Honestly, you'll wind up like my
clients and NEVER have to count a single calorie another day in your
life.
Just food for thought.
Thanks
Tim,
-Jason
P.S.
This is not to say that I promote "low carb high protein"
diets. I
don't. But I definitely promote the fact that all calories
are NOT
created equal.
Alright guys, the bottom
line is simple - all calories are not created equal. Not even
close.
Here's what you should do.
You
should head over to Tims article now and read it because it's
brilliant. Once again, NOT saying I agree with everything he
wrote - but I do a lot of it. Here's the link...
