Coffee
CaloriesHere's a
shocker...
The amount of coffee calories in each cup
are practically ZERO.
That's right.
Coffee
contains almost no calories.
So why in the world
does it cause some people to gain weight?
There are
three primary reasons...
1. Sugar
2.
Cream
3. Caffeine
Sugar
is among the single greatest fat producers in the world.
If
you are adding sugar to your coffee for an extra "pick me up" you can
rest assured that it will add to your waistline.
Secondly,
if you top it off with cream... you can dramatically increase the
calories in each cup.
And finally... if you
are drinking caffeinated coffee with sugar and cream... you now have a
cup of fat producing fuel!
The bottom line here is...
Coffee
calories by themselves can actually be beneficial.
The
problem comes when you drink 3 to 5 cups each morning with added sugar,
cream and caffeine.
If you are doing this and have
any desire to lose weight... then you are making your job much much
harder.
Just food for thought.
