The Calorie Counting Myth

If you're currently calorie counting, then this will be the most important guide you've read.

Here's why.  Too many people are caught up in the notion that getting the right number of calories per day is all they need to lose weight.

They carry a calorie chart in their back pocket and examine everything they eat until they're all stressed out!

If you're one of these people than please consider the following...

Chances are that you know people who are overweight that consume a relative low calorie diet.  You probably also know people who are skinny that eat non-stop!

If losing weight were a simple matter of consuming fewer calories this wouldn't be the case, but the truth is that there are several factors involved in the weight loss process.

First and foremost being the food you eat.

Eating 1200 calories of the wrong "empty" calorie food isn't the same as eating 1200 of the right food... Period!

Secondly, caloric intake does not influence everyone the same. If you were placed on the exact same diet plan with fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains as another individual trying to lose weight, chances are that you would not lose weight the same.

This is because our bodies each burn off the food we eat differently. Do to factors such as activity level, stress level and genetics, people lose weight at different rates and the weight comes off easier in different areas of their body.
