If
there's one thing that absolutely amazes me it's the fact that people
will continue to do the same exact things over and over again and
wonder why the results they're getting (Or not getting...) don't change!
Perfect
example...
I
frequent a health club close to my home in Milwaukee and just being
around the place has brought something to my attention...
There
are people who have been working out there for the past year and are
just as overweight now as the day that I first saw them walk in the
door!
During my exercise sessions I can actually hear them complaining about
how they "simply can't lose weight", but they keep on walking on that
treadmill (or doing whatever else they're doing) because they are
programmed to believe that if they just keep going they will lose
weight.
You
need to hear this...
...90% of all people who
sweat their butts off exercising don't ever lose weight!
These people are
perplexed. They can't seem to figure out why they aren't
getting the results they want. NEWSFLASH...
"It's because you continue to do the same ineffective
things!"
For most of us, exercise
simply means jumping on the treadmill or walking around the
block. I assure you that this is not the formula for
achieving
the weight loss you desire.
So what's missing?
You need to put some
muscle behind that burn!
Here's an amazing fact... ...muscle is
metabolically active, meaning that it requires calories to be
maintained.
Research shows that one
pound of muscle burns anywhere between 35 to 50
calories a day! It's the #1 reason why those who
have greater
muscle mass are able to burn fat a whole lot faster than those who have
very low muscle mass.
So why is it that so many people (especially the ladies...) are so
hesitant to perform muscle development exercises like lifting weights,
when they are by far the best exercises to burn off those extra pounds?
Because they
do not want to get "BULKY".
Too many
people, especially women, have been led to
believe that lifting weights will
make them look like
one of those pumped-up
bodybuilders they see in the magazines!
Well allow me to set the record straight...
...those
"pumped-up" bodybuilders are lifting weights 3-5 hours a day and
consuming
over 5 thousand calories a day of protein shakes and other
supplements! There's a reason they get so big! The
fact is that building muscle does not have to mean 'bulking up'.
Have you seen those
lean, sexy sports illustrated swimsuit models?
Would
you
believe that one of the
primary reasons that they (and many other
gorgeous stars) are able to develop such beautiful bodies is because
they lift weights and perform other muscle building
exercises? It's absolutely true!
In fact...
Many
of these woman were not blessed with great physiques, they had to
develop them through a combination of muscle building and endurance
exercise. If you want to burn off your excess fat
and transform your body... ...you will do
it much
quicker if you begin a muscle development routine.

That's
right. When it comes to burning fat, muscle is
king.
The more muscle you have the more fat you burn.
This does not mean you have to get "bulky".
But
here's some food for
thought... ...Simple adding 20 minutes
of muscle building exercise, such as weight lifting or resistance
training, to your daily schedule can make a more than 10lbs fat loss
difference over the course of a month! (That means you lose 15lbs
instead of only 5lbs!)

pretty famous people that agree with me. Just check out this
video of Dr. OZ especially beginning from minute 1:15 - End.
P.P.S --
Now I know that you may be wondering to yourself... what
about the first segment of the video when Dr. Oz talks about one of the
keys to long-term weight loss being eating 100 fewer calories a day?
Well
my answer for that is... It all depends. If all you are
eating is the WRONG food then simply eliminating 100 calories per day
probably won't make much of a difference (Notice, yes I DO NOT agree
with everything the "experts" say. However, I do respect Dr.
OZ very much.)
