Do Beer Calories = Beer Belly?A
question that all depends on quantity. Drink in moderation and you
are
probably fine...Over-do it, and you are
asking for trouble!
There are typically around 150 calories in 12
ounces of beer. Some
light beers contain as few as 100 calories while some beers can contain
over 200 calories per 12 ounces. These calories are primarily empty
(contain zero nutrition).
Have
you seen a beer belly? Dumb question
right...
They
have become all too common these days. And if you are trying to
lose weight you
would do good to consider how one gets a beer belly. It's not so
much that the beer you consume is turned into fat as
it is the consumption of beer slows your body's fat burning ability!
Your
body needs fuel to operate and it treats beer
a lot like sugar.
Have a drink of alcohol
and you have just given your body
an easy burning source of energy. This effectively places your bodies
fat burning on hold. If you are like most, you don't just have one
beer...This can have a very negative impact on your weight loss!
Beer can also create strain on your liver and other
body
organs. This
can cause a slowed
metabolism and more
serious health conditions.
When it comes to beer calories, you don't need them. Your
weight loss
is far too important. If you do drink, you would do good to do so in
moderation.
