Tip 1.  Get an exercise ball

These little things come in handy for many different exercises.  Abs.  Push ups.  And lots of others.

Tip 2.  Designate a room

Get a personal space that you use to exercise each time.

Tip 3.  Eliminate distractions

Look.  If you're trying to exercise and take care of kids at same time... you will probably get side-tracked.

Tip 4.  Music

Find a play list that keeps you pumped-up and motivated.  If you exercise 30 minutes... make sure it's 30 minutes long.

Tip 5.  Get free weighs.

In my opinion... free weights are the king of strength training.

Why?  Because they are so versatile.  You can work every major muscle group with them.  Plus all the small ones.

This is one of the most important at home exercising tips.

Tip 6.  Get some type of cardio machine

Doesn't have to be fancy.  Just a treadmill or a stair master.  Anything that will help you work up a set.

Tip 7.  Develop a routine.

Here's an example of my routine...

Each day.  Monday through Friday.  I lift weights targeting a single muscle group.  Then I follow it up with cardio.

I simply come right back and repeat that routine following week.

Tip 8.  Work out in the morning.

Chances are if you put it off till after work... you'll skip it.

Bottom line... most people are tired after work and can't get the energy to work out.

Tip 9.  Consistency.

I don't care if you can only exercise for 5 minutes.  Just do it.

Hark unto me.  Listen.  You must build a habitual at home exercising pattern.  This means never skip.  Just do something until you get into the routine.

Tip 10.  Running shoes.

If everything else fails... you can go for a 25 minute jog.  It is your backup plan if you just don't feel like lifting weights.
